Work is Love in Action

‘The force with which we commit ourselves is the same force with which results come back’ writes Cat Bennett in ‘The Confident Creative’. I like to take it to heart and in my projects. This season I did ‘show up with consistency’ to get them happening. However, it can be a lonely job to work on your own, as you might know. Glad to live in my community, where there is lots to share.

Findhorn Calendar 2012

The new Findhorn Calendar 2012 is on the market; see the feedback and information elsewhere on this page or in the e-shop.

50th Community Birthday Book

Another project I started working on, is the 50th Birthday Book for the Findhorn Foundation Community. This new project ‘called me’ and it will need determination, co-creation and energy. Stay informed. We hope you’ll be able to pre-order it later this year from the online shop, so come back for more information.

Newsletter Autumn Equinox 2011

An overview work and activities from Summer Solstice in June until Autumn Equinox end of September 2011.

This year Autumn Equinox in the northern hemisphere is celebrated late, at 23 September. At the same time it is the beginning of Fall and the astrological sign Libra starts. A beautiful sign standing for balance. Wonderful how on Equinox both day and night are equal, 12 hours each, everywhere on the planet. This is the time of the Harvest Festival, a time of thanks giving to the Earth, which has nourished us another long season with its abundance of food. Nature prepares for winter as can we. We’ve been receiving an abundant harvest of mushrooms, brambles, apples and the cupboards fill up for winter. Read more about the Celtic Festivals.

sacred dance Findhorn Images
July favourite:

Scottish Ceilidh Dances during the Findhorn Festival of Sacred Dance, Song and Music. I was one of the team to video and photograph. Nothing better than a good Ceilidh! More on my blog.

Moving over an antique floor with original tiles in El Alhambra. I touched the feet of the muslims, and the christians, and the many travellers and scholars who touched here before me.

September favourite:

Beachcombing at Findhorn Beach. There is so much magnificence near the ocean / waves are coming in. Next to aplenty of seaweed, the waves occasionally bring fishing nets onto the beach…(read more on the blog)

moorish palace el Alhambra, Malaga Spain
Eternal Beauty

Escaping a cold and rainy Scottish summer, I indulged in the heat of the south of Spain and the eternal beauty of the Moorish palace 'El Alhambra' in Granada. Build in the late Middle Ages as a 'heaven on earth', restored it is now an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Such an inspiring place! Imagine muslim and christian architects and builders peacefully working together for the honour of "All That Is", Al'lah, God.
