Photographs in commission or delivered from the large photo archive of three decades black-and-white and colour photography of Adriana Sjan Bijman. Specialised in nature, flowers and ecology, landscapes,community life at the Findhorn Foundation Community, people as well as organic farming and gardening. Adriana Sjan Bijman's beautiful photographs have been used on Record/CD/DVD covers, posters, leaflets, websites and magazines in Europe over many years.

February 2011 favourite:
Waterfall at Plodda Fall at Glen Affric in Scotland's Highlands, home of many special flora species. In the Glen Affric area Trees for Life is restoring the Caledonian forests.
March 2011 favourite:
A full flowering white Amaryllis and its shadow on the wall of my living room. I had waited since Christmas for it to blossom.
April 2011 favourite:
Olive trees in the olive groves of Mallorca. Spring is the time to prune the twisted and widely branching trees, the Olea europaea. They grow on the terrasses of the mountains, rejuvenating themselves, sometimes over hundreds to a thousand years.

May 2011 favourite:
There's a crack in everything, that's where the light comes in..... The light arrives from thousands of years back between these huge hunebed stones, (a kind cairn or cromlech). I crawled under them, to connect with its energy and -who knows- what lies buried under here.

Moving over an antique floor with original tiles in El Alhambra in the south of Spain I touched the feet of the muslims, and the christians, and the many travellers and scholars who touched here before me.
September favourite:
Beachcombing at Findhorn Beach. There is so much magnificence near the ocean / waves are coming in. Next to aplenty of seaweed, the waves occasionally bring fishing nets onto the beach…(read more on the blog)
October favourite:
Autumn is generous with us here, north of the Scottish Highlands. An abundance of eye catching colours intoxicate us in the forests and woods, moving the old in and around us.

November favourite:
Trees into darkness. The nights are getting really long here in the northern hemisphere. These fairy tree stems at the garden of Newbold House give away the wonder of winter.

December favourite:
Cow at Loch Fada at Skye. I love tracking between the brown, peat coloured hills of the HIghlands and the isle of Skye at the Scottish west coast. There are empty left farmhouses. In the middle of nowhere cattle crossing the road, gates open. The fresh water loch ‘Loch Fada’ in the near distance.(read more on the blog)
